French Door Refrigerator With Ice Maker Review

French-door refrigerators blend form and function. They come with elegant double doors that open to reveal a large fridge on top, and a freezer drawer beneath. These refrigerators stand out because of their distinctive features, including through-the-door dispensers as well as higher-end ice makers.

Its LED lighting is a nice addition and the inside storage bins come with an additional shelf that folds up beneath itself to make it possible to store large items. The drawers have temperature controls so you can set them for Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. The drawers are easy to open and close, but I found the plastic's textured coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator is equipped with a full suite of features you'd expect from a fridge at this price that includes Wi-Fi as well as app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and has many options for customizing. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer is in need of defrosting, and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice to have GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill, an option that is available in a few GE refrigerators that allow users to select how many cups they want to disperse. It does have a countdown on the fridge's display to display how much water have left, but it's not as effective as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French door fridge-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to look like a seamless piece of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also features a veggie compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors to preserve food items. The ice maker we tested was one of the most efficient, and it produces pyramid shaped ice using minimal water. This fridge is the perfect option for a single family or kitchenettes looking for a built-in look and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This refrigerator was rated as the top in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never changed more than a tiny fraction - this is essential to avoid the risk of a freezer burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, achieving the desired initial set temperature within an hour and keeping that temperature steady throughout the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its high-end appliances, so it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance, with the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and Bosch's Home Connect platform. This app lets you monitor and manage your fridge remotely using your smartphone or tablet. The refrigerator is expensive, but it comes with top-quality features and functions for the cost.

While the fridge is an incredible appliance, it's important to know the limitations. It has a limited shelf space, so you'll have to think creatively when storing tall items. The shelves are not impervious to spills and could easily be damaged or stained by sharp items. The trays can be easily removed from the fridge. However, they must be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth refrigerator is a great choice for those who need a lot of space in an extremely compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge is built with the standard French door design, and two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set crisper drawers. The top right shelf can be folded down to give taller items more headroom. There's also a full-width storage drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the great things about this refrigerator is that its ice maker is inside the freezer, which makes it easy to move ice into the fridge for use when required. The freezer also has clever design features, such as sliding drawers that help you sort your things. It also has a huge bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food and an container for storing ice.

Another cool feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can manage the temperature, lighting and more of your fridge from your smartphone. It's a nice method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it does not necessarily enhance the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact, it took longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge as compared to other fridges we tested. This could be due to the greater capacity.

The doors are another problem with this fridge. They have sunken handles on the front, which allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, however they're difficult for taller people to steer closed without slamming them. It would have been better if they came with a front-mounted handle.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those who want to combine the aesthetics of a French-door refrigerator with an efficient design. Its capacity is above average for counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also a bit cheaper than the most expensive counter depth refrigerators that have an icemaker, which makes it a great choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice if you want a french door fridge clearance-door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a simple fridge which may not be as attractive as some of its competitors however, it does have enough features to make it a good choice. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food items such as vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also has a large water dispenser as well as a good ice machine that works fast.

Another great feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you redirect some of the refrigerator's cooling power directly to this area, which means you can put away food items that require special attention. You can alter this feature using a slider that's located right outside of the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the generic settings work better than the specific ones.

During my tests, I discovered that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent across various parts of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the refrigerator didn't vary significantly from 38 degrees. This is a great performance however it doesn't make it into the top ten in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat in order to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge proof" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
